20 years ago we planted very expensive bamboo at the Williamson County Master Gardeners show at the Ag Expo in Franklin. Over 10 years ago the city of spring hill codes department grandfathered them in.
Earlier this year a neighbor complained about wild birds landing in trees bamboo (they are in every neighbor's trees throughout subdivision).
She demanded we cut down all of our bamboo & get rid of wild birds (they are God's birds not mine).
I politely said we would thin out the trees and contact UT ag extension for advice on wild birds.
Paid pest control company $1200 to fog non toxic grape seed oil on birds in 6 treatments to encourage
them to move from my bamboo. no one else in neighborhood was asked to do this.

I had hip replacement surgery july 2021. I am still having problems recovering from it as I no long feel safe enough to walk in my own neighborhood after all of the bullying that has been personally attacking me that started by same neighbor. I was in my hospital bed when I started getting emails from

Then private information from board member emails was released onto the neighborhood
Facebook page and I was being attacked by people I've never met or spoken to while laying in my hospital bed.
They even said the exact location of my home. This went on for many weeks.

(side note on 4th of July I ran their party for the entire neighborhood and
everyone loved me, we personally bought over $200 worth of prizes for all
of their children for the bike decorating contest and bubbles, and sidewalk chalk).

What changed in 2 days to make us the most hated people in the neighborhood. We did absolutely nothing different.
These trees are valued at over $500/tree and we had a lovely section of them on our property and they have been here 20+ years. So my husband starts trimming back these trees and throwing away thousand and thousands of dollars of them while I'm learning how to walk again. The Facebook attacks are so personal and hateful with neighbors threatening to come to our house with weapons. We are heartbroken and afraid for our safety to leave our home.
Without proper notice the HOA is suing us.
They are asking a judge to sell our home of 26 years.

The cost to defend this lawsuit is $30,000 which is money that we don't have.

I'm trying to fight this and with over 95% of bamboo already cut down they still won't drop the lawsuit.
