True to her spirit of pushing through challenges, Shareka was on the road to recovery from a successful medical procedure in the comforts of her home. Hopeful that she would soon return to her thriving career in management for financial investments in just a few short weeks, she suffered a devastating stroke. While home alone, a blood clot had amassed in her brain.

After a diligent search prompted by her absent responses to phone calls and texts by family and loved ones alike, authorities were dispatched to her home. She was found aphasic by medical professionals and was immediately rushed to receive emergency care. Shareka was then helicoptered to a more capable facility specializing in brain trauma shortly after arriving at her local hospital. Her elderly parents and four sisters instantly abandoned their homes and lives throughout the nearby states to be by her side as her medical prognosis evolved into the unthinkable. Brain surgery became necessary to save her life and was successfully achieved by phenomenal neurosurgical physicians just days after admission.

Prior to these events, Shareka was doing her due diligence to coordinate accommodations with her Leave of Absence team at work for her initial procedure. Before all could be finalized to procure her L.O.A. costs, Shareka could not successfully secure these accommodations, which caused delays in her assets to be supported efficiently by her family amidst the flurry of emotional and medical uncertainties.

Now, as medical bills start accumulating for these life-saving procedures, they are rallying together to engage all who know her, love her, and hear her story to find it in your heart to support her in ANY way you can while she embarks on the journey to full recovery. Prayers, good vibrations, and any donation of any caliber will go a million miles while she focuses on staying surrounded by love and healing every part of her soul.
