The Marines of 1/23 are asking for donations to help the Tobar family cover medical expense debt & funeral costs for our fallen brother in arms.

Early this morning, the Lord called upon another of our brothers from Charlie Company Weapons Platoon "SSGT. Sammy Tobar" to help guard the gates of heaven. After putting up a good fight for almost a decade, Sammy lost his battle to cancer. Sammy was not just a Marine combat veteran. He was also a devoted husband to his wife and partner of 22 years, Christina San Miguel-Tobar. Sammy also leaves behind his five children, Megan, Britney, Christain, Justin, and Ryan.

Sammy had undergone multiple types of treatment during his battle with cancer but took a turn for the worse early this year. The Marines of 1/23 would like to help ease some of SSGT. Tobar's family's financial worries, we know they will be struggling to pick up the pieces of their shattered heart as they mourn his loss. Funeral arrangements are being held next week in New Braunfels, TX.
