Hello everyone! My name is Cassie Brewer, I am the owner of the Dog Day Camp that Charlie has attended for many years. I wanted to do anything I could to help Ron and Audrey to help sweet Charlie in this time of need. For those of you who don’t know them, Ron and Audrey are truly the salt of the earth kind of people. They are a true rarity in this world and have experienced far to many hardships in the past couple of years. Through all of this Charlie has been their joy, comfort and most loyal companion. Charlie, like his parents, is the most gentle loving dog I have ever met. Charlie has been on a bit of a journey himself. A few months back he tore his CCL and injured his meniscus. In order to prepare for this surgery he had to loose some weight, he lost forty pounds to be exact with the help of his parents and his Aunt Kerry. He is on a new diet now to maintain his new figure and was able to get the surgery to repair his leg, after all of this hard work it was time for Charlie to have a whole new lease on life. Unfortunately, there were complications after the surgery and Charlie’s knee did not heal properly. This is causing infection and fluid to build up around the knee which is now starting to deteriorate the bone. Charlie is going to need to see a specialist and have more surgery. This is where we come in, Ron and Audrey are retired and are have been dealing with devastating health issues of their own. The cost of a specialist and at a least another surgery is heavy to bare. If you have anything to spare, please help us to help Ron and Audrey save their best friend.
