SSA KILLS: Help Mav Survive Disability Denial
My partner Mav (Liana, aka GeecheeThreat on Twitter, aka Tech's Loudmouth) has been struggling with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) for the past 2 years, at the young age of 29(!). She's told her story through her other GoFundMe, created for ongoing expenses.
The disease has been getting progressively worse, and she's experienced episodes of extreme loss of bodily control.
Her medical bills are piling up.
We've applied for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and been DENIED FOUR TIMES, over the course of THREE LONG YEARS.
After her hearing in front of SSA's administrative law judge in October 2022, and seeing the case status progress, we felt pretty confident. But we were completely wrong, because they decided to simply lie themselves out needing to approve her.
They came back today, January 31st, with an UNFAVORABLE decision.
They owe Liana a good chunk of money, and they know it. So they're pulling out any stops they can to prevent her approval.
Every year, thousands of Americans die waiting for their disability claims to be approved.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!

- Health insurance—she currently has none, while still suffering symptoms, and she is without medication she needs
