Help Dick Asjes recover from losing his home to the LA Fires

Donation protected

Our father, Dick Asjes, had to evacuate his home in Altadena the night of January 7, 2025 because of the Eaton Fire. He escaped with his cat, some photo albums, some artwork of my mom's and the clothes on his back. The house has been destroyed by the fires and he has lost everything. All of the antiques and furniture he and our mom had collected from all over the world, the Christmas decorations, family mementos & keepsakes, computers, clothing, his grandchildren's toys; all of his worldly possessions are gone.
People have been asking how to help our father and if there is a place to donate to support him as he puts his life back together and finds a place to live, so we started this GoFundMe page.
We know there are so many people in Los Angeles in a similar heartbreaking situation, so we are touched that so many have reached out and want to help. All the money raised will go directly to our father. Thank you for your love and support.
Dick is temporarily staying with Alexa and his grandchildren have been a nice distraction for him, but it will be a long road ahead to rebuild his life.

With love,
Jeff & Alexa
