Getting my Dog Home.

My name is Andrea and this picture is of my 4 year old dog Soldier. I adopted Soldier when he was 1 year old from a shelter in Sioux Falls SD.  I moved to South Dakota for school but my family lives in Oregon. Ever since I've had him he's gone  everywhere  with me. He's been to Oregon and back with me but this time I'm going somewhere he can't. I need to ship Soldier to Oregon because I am going Active Duty in the United States army. Right now I am an E-4, a specialist. This means I will be living in barracks. If I lived off post I could keep him. However, because of my rank and because I am single I can not do that. The barracks don't allow pets. So I'm shipping him home with my mom (Soldiers grandma he loves so much) to look after until I can earn a sergeant rank and move off post. But I need a little help. I don't have enough for his plane ticket and under no circumstance can I imagine putting him back in a shelter. I want to keep my dog. He's not just a dog, he's family and I will not abandon him to an unknown future. I'd like him to continue being in mine. Thank you for viewing this page and if you can't donate please share.
