Sri Lanka is facing one of its most challenging moments in recent years. Continuous heavy rain has caused severe flooding across multiple districts, leaving families displaced, homes destroyed and entire communities without access to basic essentials. Roads have been washed away, electricity lines are down and many people are stranded with little more than the clothes they were wearing when the water began to rise.

Thousands of families are now in urgent need of clean drinking water, cooked food, dry rations, medicine, sanitary items, baby formula and safe temporary shelter. Children, the elderly and daily wage earners are among the most vulnerable, with no income, no resources and no certainty about tomorrow.

As part of the Sri Lankan community living abroad, it is heartbreaking to watch our people suffer while being so far from home. This fundraiser is created to support immediate flood relief efforts on the ground, focusing on fast, direct and responsible assistance.

From the funds raised, we will be supporting coordinators across the affected districts who are already working tirelessly in their local communities. All donations will be used to distribute essential food, clean water, clothing, medicine, sanitary items and other urgent supplies directly to families in need. We are committed to full transparency and will keep everyone updated with regular reports, photos and clear breakdowns of how every contribution is being used.
