Hello, I am Georgie and I am raising money to help psychiatric patients in Sri Lanka to live a fulfilling and purposeful life.

Right now, in a mental health institute in Sri Lanka, 16 patients are living in conditions no human should ever endure.

These individuals are dropped off by their families and abandoned for the rest of their lives, without ever being told they will never leave. For many, this place is not a home, but a prison.

The entire group must survive on just £75 a month. There are no rehabilitation programs, no activities, no therapy and no joy; just endless days of sitting, waiting and being forgotten.

The most vulnerable patients are locked inside a house day and night because they’re considered a “risk” if they leave. One of them is even a convicted murderer! But instead of receiving proper psychiatric care or rehabilitation, they are simply kept there to waste away and worsen their conditions.

I believe every human being deserves dignity, purpose and hope. Your donation will go toward funding food, basic supplies, and activities that can bring a spark of life back into these patients’ days. Just a £5 donation DOUBLES an individuals monthly budget.
