Urgent Help Needed for Families Affected by Floods and Landslides in Sri Lanka

My name is Ashad Resident of Oxford UK, and I am raising funds to support families devastated by the recent floods and landslides in Sri Lanka.

Entire communities have been destroyed in just a few hours. Homes have collapsed, livelihoods have been wiped out, and countless families are now left with nothing but the clothes they were wearing.

This crisis is deeply personal to me. Sri Lanka is not just a place on a map. It is my home, my roots, and where many of my family members, friends, and community still live. Watching this suffering from afar has been unbearable, and I knew I had to act.

Tragically, many lives have been lost, including animals and wildlife. Several areas have been completely cut off from the rest of the country, as floodwaters and landslides have destroyed roads, bridges, and railway lines. Thousands of people are stranded without food, clean water, medicine, or shelter.

While the government and emergency services are working tirelessly, the scale of destruction is overwhelming. Small volunteer groups and local activists have stepped in to fill the gaps, reaching communities that larger efforts cannot. This fundraiser is dedicated to supporting those volunteers and ensuring life-saving aid reaches the people who need it most.

I am calling on cricket communities, local networks, and the wider global community to come together to help. Every contribution counts and can make a real difference in the lives of families facing unimaginable hardship.

Funds will be used for:
