Sunday April 12, 2015 James suffered a cardiac arrest at home. His wife Rhonda initiated CPR until paramedics arrived at which time they defibrillated James's heart twice and again on the way to the hospital.
For the past 11 days Rhonda & his children (Charli, Doug & Joe ) have maintained a constant vigil looking for any signs of hope. Feeling despair and hopelessness they so appreciated all of the love, prayers, texts and personal messages they received during this time, as well as visits by family and friends to sit with them at the hospital. The family knows that without this loving support this journey would have been even more difficult.
James is now responding & hopefully will be off of the ventilator soon. However he will face a long recovery to regain strength and stamina.
James is a loving husband, father, and "Papa" to his grandchildren whom he adores. We know his recovery will be long and tedious and at times discouraging. As one can imagine his medical bills are mounting as well as loss of wages for him and Rhonda.
Any donations to help James and Rhonda during this time of uncertainty and recovery is appreciated and of course humbling.
One thing the family has discovered is this outpouring of love & concern for James is beyond anything they could have imagined and for that the family of James Tuggle expresses their most deepest gratitude!
