Dear Friends
I am collecting donations on behalf of a dear friend who is stuck in Gaza with his 8-month-old son and wife. He has nowhere to go and nowhere safe to live, and he and his young family have no choice but to leave their homeland.
I am collecting donations for him because he has no connection and his reach is limited.
Once the target is reached, the funds will be transferred to his chosen account to begin his journey.
Here is his story:
I am Hema Barbakh Abu Al-Ghalba, 49 years old, married for a year. During the war, my wife gave birth to our first child on October 12, 2023, and we named him Amir. Unfortunately, the occupation bombed our home and destroyed all our belongings, leaving nothing behind. We are now in a displacement camp. We no longer have access to clean water, food, or any other basic necessities. As a family, we want to leave Gaza to save our family from death, and this journey is very costly for someone who has nothing left. I have lost my job, my property, my money, and other family members in this horrific situation. I need your help.
Please help me achieve my goal so I can save my child and wife.
May God reward you for your good deeds.
Update. Amir is now 12 months old, and nothing has changed, except more damage and less safe places. Without winter clothes and shoes, it will only get harder. The good news is that they can process our passports, so when the borders open, we will be on the evacuation list. The bad news is that the borders are still closed. Amir has the right to grow up in a safer environment and not play in the ruins of our country. He also has the right to a healthy life. I receive funds from the fundraising campaign, whenever safely possible, and if available, to buy secondhand items for him, but I am short of options. The cost of each item is ten times higher than it should be.
I ask you again to donate and share as much as you can. I have high hopes for humanity and hope to give my wife and child the beautiful life they deserve.
Thank you so much to everyone who donated and participated. Please continue to support and pray for us.
Update:
The cold weather has crept in, and the tents are freezing. Diaper packs cost $100, and there is still a shortage of food and warm clothing.
Your donations are helping my family and me a lot in our daily lives. I receive donations regularly, and this is what keeps us going.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us. May God reward you abundantly. Thank you.
