SRAid Hurricane & Wildfire Season
The Socialist Rifle Association and SRAid are raising money for Disaster Relief for hurricanes and wildfires. With the worsening effects of climate change and an unreliable federal disaster relief program, it falls on our communities to support those who suffer the effects of natural disasters. SRAid raises money to purchase supplies and fund infrastructure to support local and regional disaster relief efforts, and our volunteers work with local organizers and community organizations to make sure aid goes where it is most needed.
The western US is currently in extreme drought conditions, which will likely lead to a terrible fire season in late summer and fall. We have a supply trailer stationed in LA, and volunteers all up and down the west coast ready to help. Contributing to this fundraiser will help us stock up on supplies.
The Atlantic coast is bracing for an above-average hurricane season. Building on our previous actions for Hurricanes Florence, Michael, and Dorian we will be using funds raised to stock our North Georgia-based supply trailer.
