Mario “Ronnie” Ronaldo Padua Dimaano was born in Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines, on April 9, 1963. After a long battle with pneumonia and cancer, Ronnie passed away surrounded by his family and friends on April 20, 2015. He is the son of Exaltacion Baquiran Padua, and Juanito Palis Dimaano. Ronnie was the youngest of 3 children. His siblings are Doris and Joselito.

Ronnie completed his elementary education at the Los Banos Central School in Los Banos; his secondary education at the UP Rural High School and the Los Banos National High School, both in Los Banos; and AB Economics at San Juan de Letran in Calamba, Laguna. After graduating from college, Ronnie worked for a few years at the Department of Agrarian Reform. He married Marlene Rosario in 1994, and they were blessed with 5 children: Maureen Debbie, Ryan Ronald, Monica Dawn, Ron Kevin, and Alexa.

It was Ronnie’s dream to migrate to North America, and in 1997, Ronnie and his family started a new life in Canada. They lived there for four years and obtained their Canadian citizenship. Shortly after, Ronnie and his family moved to California in 2001.

While he lived in the U.S, Ronnie studied Writing and Communication, at Brigham Young University and courses relevant to Chemical Engineering at University of Virginia. He developed a career in Biotech Industry and worked for several biotech companies: Genentech in San Francisco, Amgen in Rhode Island, and CMC Biologics in Seattle. Ronnie was everyone’s “bro” as his upbeat personality, positive attitude and great sense of humor encouraged his fellow co-workers to be happy and appreciate life.

Ronnie was a proud member of the Northwest Beta Sigma Fraternity. His lovable, and cheerful personality allowed him to become close to his fraternity brothers. The Beta Sigma fraternity wanted to express their love and appreciation for Ronnie by inducting him as Grand Princep of the Northwest BE prior to his death. Aside from being an active fraternity member, Ronnie enjoyed karaoke, bowling, golfing, traveling, and spending time with his beautiful family.

Ronnie was a hard worker, a wonderful friend, a loving husband, and an extraordinary father. His warm heart and gentle soul will surely be missed by many. Ronnie will be forever in our hearts.

This page is for his family and friends who are interested in helping the Dimaano family. We appreciate your help and we are grateful to know that he has many friends who loved him very much.
