Immigrant young mother with 2 daughters in need after husband was picked up by ICE and has spent 5 months in Greene County detention facility. This young family came to the US from El Salvador “legally” and have remained so. They came here with asylum and have work permits. The family came here with their young daughter and now have a 7-month-old US citizen. The father was working as an Uber driver when he was picked up at the restaurant he was picking an order up from. The mother has since lost her job. She is two months past rent, needing diapers, formula, and other necessary items. Any money donated will go straight to the landlord and/or items will be bought and sent.

So many of our immigrant neighbors have found themselves in this state. Even though the father is here “legally,” his pro-bono attorney is suggesting he self-deport. This man is terrified to go back to his home country. Any help for this family is very much appreciated. Now is the time to help one another, stand up for our neighbors, and make a difference in a young family’s life.
