Help for David

Hi my name is Rik. One of my best friends (David) was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in 2019 he wasn’t given very long back then, but he kept fighting and he’s still here today. He has been a beacon of positivity and strength throughout it all. Sadly, time now doesn’t look to be on his side and we’ve been told this could be his last 6 months. As hard and horrible as that is, I want to try to make these last moments super enjoyable for him and I want to do something really nice for him and his fiancé, Emily.

David is the best person I’ve ever met. He has affected my life in ways I can’t even begin to describe. Teaching me so much and being my absolute hero. Life without him truly seems very dark and impossible but the light and love he has brought me and so many others through the years outweighs any sadness that is to come. If I can do something to make his life more enjoyable or easier and show him as much love as possible for the time we have left then I will do everything in my power to do it.

My goal with this is that all the money raised will be heading to David for him to decide what happens with it. David and Emily are having to move their wedding forward because of the new timeframe and in my head they might be able to use the money, raised by us, to give them a dream wedding or a dream honeymoon. They may even use it to make his life a little more manageable and comfortable with a stairlift or chair. The decision rests with David but I would be forever grateful if you would like donate and give a little towards my best friend.
