Another sad day for the community.

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un

Most of you already know that Sr. Faye passed away on May 3rd. Her husband Br. Carroll Malik passed away 12 days later, on May 15th.

Please make dua for Sr. Faye and Br. Carroll that they are reunited forever together Insh'Allah in Jannat Al Firdows. May all their suffering in this world and struggles expiate all their sins and grant them the highest abode. Ameen.

We're so concerned for their daughter Safiyyah, losing both of her parents in less than two weeks. This GoFundMe will now be directed to assist Sr. Safiyyah as needed. If you prefer to send to me directly via Zelle (804-909-7860), I'll send all funds directly to Sr. Safiyyah.

Sister Faye was a very active Leader and Believer in The Muslim Community for over 40 years. She has always answered the call to help countless families in need - both Muslim and Non-Muslims. She is the wife of Brother Carroll Abdul-Malik, mother of Charles, Javeed and Saffiyah. A devoted Sister friend to many. We ask that we keep in mind how much our Ummah is thankful for her leadership at Al-Madina school, her community engagement, her endless support of her own family and friends and others, especially Muslim women.

Br. Carroll Malik was also active in the community, especially with the Prison Dawah.

 

As we know... "...for no Muslim is afflicted with any harm but that Allah will remove his sins as the leaves of a tree fall down." (Sahih al-Bukari 5647, Book 75 Hadith 7) Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

 

So let us all be a part of this group that gains Allah’s forgiveness for our sins by spending in the way of Allah to help alleviate some of the expenses as Sr. Safiyyah deals with these critical changes for her future.
