Martin's Medical/Lawyer Expenses

My name is Beatriz Rodriguez, I'm doing this fundraiser for my father Martin Rodriguez who is in ICU still in critical condition. On Monday March 21, 2016 around 4:00 pm when rush hour was just beginning on 95 south towards Lorton my fathers tire had popped and had to pull over, he had called my brother to help change it. His spare tire was towards the back of his truck underneath, while he was trying to take it out from under he sent my little brother (18) to grab the jack and stands to start changing the tire. Unexpectedly, my brother hits the dashboard and hears someone screeching, it was my dad. An oncoming car decides to get on the emergency lane to advance in traffic and was not able to break in time running into my fathers lower body crushing his legs inbetween his truck and the other guys car. My brother was able to put pressure and tie something around my fathers leg until the helicopter airlifted him to Fairfax hospital where he is still consider to be in critical condition. He underwent his first surgery for hours where he lost a leg due to the amount of blood that was hemmoragging out from it. It was a life or death situation. He lost almost all his blood in his body which they had to transfuse at least 60 liters of blood back into him. He's a fighter his first surgery to reconstruct his leg went well, he's in and out of conscience but is able to write words to communicate with us. Martin still has to undergo several surgeries for his leg and his stomach so it's going to be a long recovery for him. By the grace of God and my little brother he is still alive. My dad is one stubborn by strong guy, work was pretty much his life and building now who knows if he will ever get the chance to again. The mans insurance is looking like it will not cover the costs of his medical bills because it is not an insurance that is well known or good for that matter. They pretty much are saying we have to come out of pocket which is not fair because he ruined another mans life due to his actions. We are going to fight against it but it will be a long process, to any one that knows me knows my family. We're asking for help to take this burden off of my moms shoulders and help us out in getting a good lawyer to fight for what my dad deserves and help cover his medical expenses because we do not know how long or what is going to happen.
