Hello, my name is Sid and I’m a non-binary trans person from Mexico trying to fundraise for my top surgery. Getting this gender-affirming procedure would alleviate the daily discomfort and distress caused by the dysphoria I experience around my chest and how it impacts my mental and physical health (struggling to find clothing, constriction from binders, back problems etc).

I’ve previously attempted to fundraise for this cause using a different platform, which ended up refunding all of the donors and charging me a steep “processing” fee due to an unfair issue; this not only set me back financially, but took a toll on my mental health because it erased all my hard work and progress.

As each day passes, it becomes clearer that this procedure is a necessity for my well being. Although I’ve struggled to rebuild my morale, the urgency of this matter has motivated me to try again--this time with the support of my partner, who has access to GoFundMe due to their U.S citizenship.

Fundraising is my only option for obtaining this surgery: aside from my financial issues and inaccessibility in Mexico, my disability (along with other healthcare expenses like hormone treatment and therapy) makes it impossible to reach this goal independently. Any financial contributions or sharing on social media will make a massive difference in helping me take this life-changing step!
