Squirmy's Rehabilitation

Donation protected
Squirmy was brought to our hospital to be euthanized for "aggression." He was adopted as a puppy during the pandemic and had no socialization during his first 10 months of life. He was sheltered in a home with an older couple. Our staff knew that this boy was not truly aggressive and deserved to live, so we had his owners legally sign him over to our hospital.
He has been with us for 8 weeks now and has come so far! He's so very smart and wants to learn new things, but he's afraid. He's fearful of new people. He's fearful of men. He's fearful of leashes and collars.

He had a consultation with a fabulous trainer from Paw and Order - she said that he has a lot of potential and will thrive after he learns how to just be a dog.
His training will be a BIG investment, but we know his life is worth it. Him being able to just take a nap without being on high alert all the time will make it worth it. Him being able to sleep without staring at the shadows all night will make it worth it. Him living in a home for the rest of his life, knowing that no one will give up on him will make it worth it.
We need everyone's help in raising $5,000 for his training and rehabilitation. He will be living at the Paw and Order training center for 4 weeks, where he will learn to "dog." If you can donate $5, $10, $50...any amount will help.
We will keep you updated on his progress! And when his training is complete, we would love for you to come and meet him!
