My friend is a single mom with health issues and 5 adopted kids. She is an amazing woman who is trying to raise these kids right while also making ends meet. She lives in an older house, and in the last year it has needed an extreme amount of repairs which she can't afford and which insurance will not cover. She has tried many avenues to get help but none have worked. Several friends have also tried to help fix what they can, but the damages are such that a professional is needed. Her roof has been leaking for a few years now and it has caused damage to the ceiling as well. There is yellowing and a hole in her living room which leaks each time it rains. In the last year, she also has had numerous plumbing issues including several major leaks which damaged her bathroom and two closets. The bathroom has been torn apart and her old pipes are cracked below the flooring. All of this will require major repairs that my friend can't afford.
