My sisters story

Hi I’m Lana Hargrove and I’m trying to help my sister, Shelly Briggs. In 2020 April the 9th we got some bad news and on May 11th my sister was having surgery for breast cancer. We found out it was stage three invasive ductal carcinoma. It had spread to the lymph nodes and 25 lymph nodes had to be removed. Also 33 rounds of radiation and currently still taking chemo medication. She has also had two abnormal brain MRIs that will continue to be monitored. Along with all that she has Orthostasis hypotension and Lymphedema. Two Drs have recommended a lymph node transplant that is not available in Oklahoma.

My sister will continue to need physical therapy and other surgeries in the future. She’s a fighter and has been fighting all through this covid pandemic with a very small circle in her corner. It’s hard to watch her struggle this long without help but she’s finally letting me ask for help.
