Liam's Kidney Transplant Journey

Donation protected
Hi, I’m Amy, and I’m reaching out with a mother’s heart full of both hope and exhaustion.

Our sweet son Liam is just two years old, but he has already endured more than most people do in a lifetime. Diagnosed at birth with end-stage kidney failure, Liam has been on dialysis every single day since he was only a few weeks old. He spent the first three months of his life in the NICU, and since then, our lives have revolved around a whirlwind of hospital visits, lab draws, medications, and constant monitoring of his fragile health.

Liam’s journey has been filled with challenges—kidney failure, GI complications, urinary issues, thyroid problems, and heart concerns. He’s had three surgeries and two additional procedures, countless ER visits, dialysis-related infections, eating difficulties, and long stretches of severe vomiting. It’s been a road full of fear, medical emergencies, and sleepless nights, but despite all of that, Liam is resilient. He is goofy, adventurous, brave, and full of life—and we’re so proud of him and how far he’s come.

Now, we’re preparing for what we hope will be the next step toward a better quality life for Liam: a kidney transplant.

We believe his transplant will occur sometime this summer or early fall. We are currently working with the transplant center to get Liam on the waiting list for a deceased donor, but if someone who is O-negative blood type would like to explore living kidney donation, please reach out—we’d be forever grateful. We are currently planning to travel out of state: wherever the best possible care leads us to give Liam the strongest chance at a successful surgery and recovery.

As you can imagine, this journey brings major financial burdens. Between uncovered medical bills, life-saving medications, travel, lodging, food, and an extended out-of-state stay post-surgery, the costs quickly add up. We are also facing lost income due to reduced work hours due to caring for Liam's medical needs.

We are humbly asking for your help.
We are hoping to raise $50,000 to support Liam’s transplant journey.

Whether it’s a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing this page with others—thank you. From the bottom of our hearts. We know that Liam’s fight is not one we face alone, and your support means the world to our family. As they say - it takes a village - and our village of support from doctors, nurses, family and friends - keeps us afloat.

We are hopeful that due to his length of time on dialysis this will happen fairly quickly. We will keep this page updated every step of the way. Thank you for loving our boy and helping us fight for his future.

With love and gratitude,
Amy and Family
