The NHS
Donation protected
Last Christmas, I was given the greatest gift—my dad's life. Late November, he was rushed into emergency surgery after suffering a sharp pain in his chest which led to a life-threatening rupture on his aorta. The doctors and nurses at ‘The Essex Cardiovascular Center’ worked tirelessly for 10 hours in surgery to save his life and helped him start his road to recovery. Without them, I wouldn’t have my dad here with me today.
The thought of that day still overwhelms me, and every morning, I count my blessings. To know that my dad is on the mend fills me with immense gratitude. But I also know how fortunate we are—and how many others are still in need of life-saving care. The NHS has been nothing short of incredible, and I want to give back to them by raising donations by running the ‘London Landmarks Half Marathon’
Any donations no matter how big or small raised will go to the NHS, helping to ensure that they can continue to provide life-saving treatment, equipment, and support for those who need it most.
To have such an amazing dad in my life, I thank my lucky stars that you are mine
