Heya, I'm Onyx - you might know me as Doc. I'm a 22 year old artist from the UK with Fibromyalgia and hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

My condition means it's not safe for me to walk for a long time [due to fatigue and the risk of dislocating joints] and my healthcare providers agree that using a wheelchair is best for me - but the NHS has denied me a voucher, and my current wheelchair is falling apart.

The footplate is broken, the frame is bent, it's too heavy for me to reliably use, and it's also too small. I keep being late for work because my chair keeps breaking on the way. The other week the wheel started wobbling and I found that it had worked itself halfway off the axle.

This fundraiser will help me to continue life safely with a new wheelchair that fits comfortably and I can use reliably.
