Dawn Candlen Memorial Scholarship

In August 1985, our friend and classmate Dawn E. Candlen, while lifeguarding on Plymouth beach, dived into the water to rescue a struggling swimmer. While the boy was OK, Dawn was not. She was without oxygen for an extended period of time and as a result, ended up with severe brain damage, from which she never recovered. Dawn passed away June 25, 2017. Our goal is to establish a scholarship in her honor.
