I am Ahmed from Gaza… from a land that has never been just a place, but a soul that dwells within me and I within it. I grew up on its soil, learned from its resilience, and carried its pain in my heart as a son carries his mother's name. In a time when leaving has become the easiest option, I choose to stay. Not because staying is safe, but because Gaza deserves to be stayed for. I remain here despite the bombing, despite the loss, despite losing my home and everything I own, despite the fear that visits us every night… because this land has taught me that dignity does not emigrate, and that a homeland is not abandoned when it suffers, but rather embraced even more. This campaign is not a plea for pity, but a cry for life. Help me to continue, help me to also share my beautiful voice of song with the world, to remain steadfast on my land, to rebuild my home in Gaza, the Gaza we love and that loves us, so that Gaza will not be emptied of anything but destruction.
