Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out for support for my much-loved dog, Pluto. Recently, Pluto was diagnosed with a cruciate ligament rupture (similar to a torn ACL in humans). This injury has left him in pain and struggling to walk properly. The vet explained that the gold standard treatment is TPLO surgery, which will stabilise his knee and give him the best chance of returning to a normal, happy, pain-free life.
Unfortunately, this surgery is very expensive, costing around $3,000–$4,000, and that’s not including the follow-up care, medications, and check-ups Pluto will need. As much as I wish I could cover it on my own, the costs are overwhelming.
Pluto is more than just a pet — he’s family. He’s been by my side through thick and thin, always bringing love, joy, and comfort. Seeing him in pain and unable to enjoy the simple things he loves, like walks and playtime, is heartbreaking.
With your help, we can give Pluto the chance to walk, run, and play again without pain. Any amount you can donate will go directly toward:
• The cost of TPLO surgery
• Post-surgery medications and check-ups
• Rehabilitation to get him back on his feet
Even if you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean the world. Every bit of support helps.
Thank you so much for reading Pluto’s story and for any support you can give. Together, we can help him get back to being his happy, playful self again.
With gratitude,
Leah
