Many of the Security Public Storage Team members have asked how they can help the thousands of neighbors in Paradise who have lost their homes, schools, livelihoods, grocery stores— their entire town. We know this is the worst fire in California’s history both in terms of lives and property lost, and the numbers are getting worse every day. 

We’ve chosen the North Valley Community Foundation Camp Fire Relief Fund ( https://www.nvcf.org/camp-fire-relief-use-of-funds/) to contribute to as a group, rather than sending in separate donations to multiple organizations. NVCF ( https://www.nvcf.org) is a well-established and highly regarded local nonprofit based in Chico that is raising money to support many organizations that are sheltering evacuees of the Camp Fire. While we can’t bring back the lives and property lost, we can let the evacuees and those who are working so hard to help them know that we care and want to support them in their time of crisis.

We consider ourselves a family at Security Public Storage, and we are immensely grateful that the family owners of the company have agreed to match all donations from our team through December 25, 2018, dollar for dollar. 

In addition to what our team contributes, the owners are also donating 2% of the first-month rent from all new customers between now and the end of the year!
