Please help

Hey everyone, I don’t want to get too involved about my personal life but I’m going through a serious rough patch and don’t have many other options to pursue so I’m asking for help.

To put things as briefly as possible; I was recently in and escaped from an emotionally and eventually physically abusive relationship that ended with me ultimately having to pursue a restraining order from my ex.

With me being a student and him as well, I previously attempted to pursue recourse from the school to keep us separated only for them to not do anything of merit to try and keep us apart. So I went through the court systems to try and pursue this end, an expensive process that is hard to afford with student loans and the need to pay my rent hanging over my head.

The legal fees come up to roughly around $3k and I don’t have the means to pay that out of pocket right now. I’m not normally one for asking for help and it pains me to even bother trying but I’m low on options and high on stress in my life right now. Anything that’s donated will go a long way to giving me peace of mind and distance from someone who’s hurt me, so any help would mean the world to me right now. Thank you.
