Sprockets Hip replacement surgery
Donation protected
This xray was taken on 5/30/2018.
You can see that he is missing his left hip ball joint and socket. It is amazing that he is able to walk at all. He needs surgery ASAP. Sprocket is a 5 year old. He was near death at 9weeks old when he came into our lives from an abusive situation. He overcame all of this and became a service dog. One of his favorite things to do is spend time with children and the elderly.
Recently Spocket became very ill and was rushed to emergency vet because was shaking in pain, not eating, having a hard time breathing and lost the ability to walk.
After having over 20 X-rays done the problem was identified....Sprocket is missing his rear legs hip ball joint and socket....he is on pain medication and anti-inflammatory medication and I am doing everything I possibly can for him. But he needs surgery as soon as possible.
it is the worst case the veterinarian has ever come across. Because of this the vet has offered to do the surgery and only charge us for the implants used to correct the hip and to pay his assistants to help him during the surgery. He is not charging for his time at all.
we can't Imagine life without him,
$3000 will be used for his surgery medication and full time care while he heals.
This surgery will relieve sprocket of all pain once he has healed. If all goes well he will be able to run jump and do everything a normal dog can do.
Please help me save my best friend,
he deserves a chance at life. He has been thru so much.
