Springfield's Lasagna Lady's Cancer Battle

Hello, my name is Beth Ballinger, also known as Springfields (Illinois) Lasagna Lady, the proud creator of Feeding Springfield One Lasagna At A Time.
We have fed 22,246 people the last 3 years and is my pride and joy. It has become necessary for myself to take some time to focus on my health and future recovery. Well the fact of the matter is, I have cervical cancer. I underwent a procedure on October 20th in hopes of removing it, it was unsuccessful. The cancer was more advanced then they had originally thought.. My next step is a procedure, hysterectomy, to remove it all. Unfortunately, with the way our medical system currently is, I have to wait till February 16th for it. I'm not telling you this for any form of sympathy! DONT ANY OF YOU DARE TELL ME YOUR SORRY!! I've watched so many people I love, have a way harder battle with cancer then I'm going to have!!! I'm writing this so come February, we can all celebrate my successful battle ❤ If you are the praying type, please say an extra few for me. I love ya all, and am ready for this battle!!!! We will return even stronger , and I will always find time to help in a food emergency. I am so grateful for you all, and can not thank you enough for the continued support.
I will be off work for 4 to 6 weeks as I recover from this procedure. I will have bills and medical expenses that I will need help with covering. It is very humbling having to be the one asking for help.
It has been my honor to be Springfields Lasagna Lady, and we are definitely not done yet!!!
