Springfield Minor Baseball name change

Springfield Minor Baseball Association (SMBA) made the decision in 2019 to change our culturally insensitive team name and logo. We are in the process of establishing a new name that represents our desire to move towards reconciliation, inclusion and continue with the spirit of community in which SMBA and our members strongly believe. This GoFundMe campaign is aimed to assist SMBA with the purchase of uniforms required to facilitate the name and logo change (coming soon in winter 2021!!). Our entire inventory of jerseys and coaches shirt’s will need to be replaced as we hit the fields in spring of 2021. The potential cost of this change over has been assessed at upwards of $10,000. SMBA is hoping to raise $5,000 to offset the substantial cost. Please support our community by donating towards this worthy cause. Thank you - SMBA board of directors.
