Spring Hill currently has 5 entrance signs at 4 entrances to the subdivision. They are all of different designs, installed at different times over the course of the past 60 years. Many require upkeep and the ones at Castlebar are deteriorating fast. The metal components on those are rusting, the one to the east is being overgrown by spruce trees, and the one to the west is being pushed by the tree behind it to the point that the brick pillars breaking apart. We are looking to replace them all to bring an updated, cohesive look to the neighborhood. Not only should this improve the appearance of our community but should help increase property values collectively.
We've researched existing signs in the area, mocked up designs, prototyped, reviewed ordinances, spoken to homeowners, and received estimates. At this point, it is difficult to make further progress without having the funds available to hire a professional designer and contractor. Based on the estimates we have received at around $5000 per sign, we are looking to raise $20,000 to cover the cost of one sign per entrance.
This has been a multiyear effort. COVID-19 slowed progress in 2020 and now we are getting close to the point we see snow on the ground. We would love to be able to have new signs in 2021, ideally at all 4 entrances, which means we would need to have the majority of the funds available in March or so.
We love living in Spring Hill and are striving to maintain it as place we are proud to call home. We hope you agree and will help contribute to this effort. Any amount helps.
Thanks in advance!
