Spring break with a purpose: Support our Hawaii camp mission

Our family has the opportunity to head back to the North Shore to help put on a Spring Break camp and we need your help to get there! We are heading back to the same church where we have built relationships and bringing along a small team of young adults from our home church to serve together this March!

Our mission is to support the incredible youth pastors and leaders at the local churches who serve the students in their community week after week by putting on a full camp experience for them in their own backyard, complete with rec game competitions, free time activities, worship, and a camp speaker!

For Jack (14) and Jovie (12) camp last year was a major stretch outside of the comfort zone of friends and familiar ministry and I loved seeing them working harder than Jake or I at points, serving meals, working the snack shack or ref-ing games. There were hard points for each of us, feeling out of place or not knowing what to do, but it was so meaningful for them to get to see the incredible ministry and camp experience that happened in part because of their work.

This year the kids are older, and to some degree know what to expect, but I also know no two trips are alike and so I’m praying that God uses the trip this year to instigate some good conversations about who he is, how he works and the purpose he has for us for both the locals at camp and our family and team!

I'm asking if you would join me in praying over this trip. I want to leave it surrendered at Gods feet to really do with it what he wants. I’m praying that His presence is felt and that His love is experienced in new ways that leave a lasting impact. I’m praying for provision and protection over everyone involved in the camp and that the little details would not bring stress but would come together smoothly. We are treating part of this trip has a mission trip so therefore we are also partnering with friends and family to raise money to cover transportation for the 4 of us and to pay for camp expenses so we can keep the cost for campers under $99. Pray that we would meet our fundraising goal and perhaps, pray about if God would have you contribute.

Our goal is to raise $3000 by February 12! Every contribution, big or small, will help us make a difference in the lives of others while allowing us to grow spiritually and serve from our hearts.
