Covid Nightmare

One morning In late April, my best friend Steve Petix suddenly woke up, forcefully expelling his bodily fluids (and other undigested internal contents) in a projectile fashion out of both ends!  After being rushed to the hospital, drawing a blood panel quickly determined that not only had he contracted the Covid-19 virus, but he was severely Dehydrated, Septic, and was suffering from one of the rare Covid side effects.... The shut down and blockage of the GI Tract!  At this time, his vital signs alarmingly dropped, and he was put on a ventilator to keep his body breathing. Immediate emergency abdominal surgery was ordered, leaving behind an 18" long abdominal scar/trench (that will take up to a year to heal), with lengthy rehab to follow....During and after the unexpectedly long surgery, Steve was placed on that ventilator a total of 3 times. Steve has been to hell and back, and was literally an inch from becoming a statistic, yet his medical Insurance (along with the Social Security Disability) don't even BEGIN to cover his exorbitant medical expenses! On top of this, Steve recently endured extensive dental surgery (also not covered by his insurance), and a complete left handful of stitches, courtesy of a fall through the glass livingroom coffee table (as he has not yet fully regained his sense of balance). In a mere four months Steve has b een thrust several thousand dollars in medical debt. This is why we ask for your help. Any amount would be greatly appreciated, due to the Covid-19, his bills have now gotten so terribly out of hand! ~Thank You
