Heartbroken and devastated. We tragically lost Alexzander "Alex" Fries on Aug 10th, 2022, in a work accident at only 19 years old. Extraordinary circumstances led to Alex being electrocuted on the job. His sudden loss has devastated his family and friends, especially his parents, Tyler, who worked closely with his son every day, and Erica.
Beyond their all-consuming grief, losing Alex has created an unexpected financial burden as he didn’t have life insurance. This campaign will go directly to expenses related to his loss, including cemetery plot, headstone, burial, and unplanned time away from work.
The outpouring of community support, generous food offerings, and house visits have Erica and Tyler overflowing with gratitude. They continue to need all our support while they attempt to find a way forward.
A testament to the selflessness and compassion that defined Alex, after tragically losing a friend recently, he fundraised and planned his friend's funeral. It was important to Alex to give him a proper send-off that truly honored his memory. It's moments like this that exemplified his kind and generous soul that is so deeply missed. This fundraiser is a wonderful way to honor Alex's memory and uplift his family the way he did for his friend.
Thank you for the continued love, support, good thoughts, prayers, and offerings in any form you are able. We can and will find a way to continue to spread kindness in memory of Alex and in continuation of his sweet spirit. Through our support, we will remind Erica and Tyler that his life had a purpose and profoundly impacted us all.
Alex would want us to carry on and go with the flow, knowing that he will be with us forever.
