Spread Joy to 17 Students This Christmas

Hello!!

My name is Alena and I am a long term substitute teacher for a 2nd grade class in SWFL. The school I am working at is in a very low income area. Many of my kids families have immigrated to the US, work multiple jobs, have siblings, and struggle to afford average living costs…let alone Christmas presents.

I will be with them with them until the end of 2024/the start Christmas break and wanted to bless them with some gifts they may not get. I even asked them all their favorite colors and shirt sizes in preparation for this surprise.

I have been estimated that all of these gifts will come out to about $450 dollars >>> which averages to about ~$25 per child. I have 17 students. I really want to put a smile on their face but it is a bit expensive on my subbing salary. I know around the holidays people normally only choose one or two of those tags on the tree when they want to sponsor a child but I was blessed with 17! (But, I guess that’s just how it goes when you’re a teacher lol)

If you are interested or able, anything you could donate would really really help. You could choose to “sponsor” a child’s entire gift for $25 or give what you can, even if it’s $5. These gifts will mean the world to these students. And, it would mean the world to me if you would help me with this project that’s been placed on my heart.
