Hi everyone, I’m Summer and as most of you know my sister has been in the hospital since November 27th. I’m reaching out in hopes we can all come together and help their family in this difficult time. She was admitted for abdominal pain and diagnosed with gallstones and pancreatitis. She also has an enlarged liver and spleen. She had to wait a week in the hospital to be able to have her gallbladder removed. Her pancreatitis continued to worsen and now she has necrosis in a large part of her pancreas and a lot of fluid in her abdomen and chest. They are currently working on getting her transferred to Gainesville so she can have access to some highly recommended specialists. She will have to have another surgery on her pancreas as well. She has a long road ahead of her and both she and her husband Wesley are out of work right now. Wesley was supposed to start a new job on Friday, but with her being transferred his start date was delayed. They also have a 10 month old son. I cannot imagine how stressful this situation must be, so if we can take some stress off of them I know it would mean the world.
