Please help Spot, our Buddy get the treatment he needs.

Hi all, Me and my Husband Alex are hoping to raise funds for Spot/Spotacus/Buddy our beautiful 9 year old fur baby kitty.

We found out he had Patellar Luxation in both of his hind legs a few months ago. Due to him being overweight at 7.36kg we have been trying to reduce his weight before surgical intervention. This is so far down to 6.5kg. He is on painkillers whilst we are trying to reduce his size.

We will need to have a consultation with the Specialist Surgeon, x-rays, blood tests and operations possibly on both hind legs.

Unfortunately we are both on disability benefits due to health conditions and do not have pet insurance. We have 7 cats altogether including a Stray mother Meeka & her 2 kittens Hope & Onyx which can be found on the facebook group Meeka & her Miracle Babies.

They are all vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and on pet plans which helps us with prevention of fleas, ticks & Worms, pays for yearly Vaccinations, a certain amount of consultations, money off a blood test and nail clippings. This as well as their food, our own bills and food add up and so we can't afford pet insurance as much as we wish we could.

This treatment will hopefully improve Spots quality of life.

At the moment he does a lot of sleeping, lying down and not much playing or grooming. When his knees dislocate out of place due to the patellar luxation his bottom end drops down to the floor whilst walking until they pop back into place, this effects him on a daily basis and is getting worse in spite of his weight loss.
