Hello Leroy Moore here, Fonder of Krip-Hop Nation.
So as a lot of you know, Spirit Airlines broke my scooter on June 9th/2023 coming from the Virgin Islands, St. Corix. The airlines gave me a big loaner scooter well finally my scooter company came out on July 14th and took the front end of my scooter to their shop. An hour later they called to say the scooter was fixed. They came back to drop it off and helped to test-ride it around the block. The test run went smoothly matter of fact the scooter went faster and just hummmm around the block like it was brand new! Although I had to wait a month, my scooter company, ATTO Moving Life, kicks ass and it seems every time they touch my scooter, it comes back like it is new, faster and more powerful!
People, yes I am doing a gofundme fundraiser for Moving Life's new Sports scooter because of many reasons for one to have one scooter just for traveling and the new sports scooter goes faster and the battery last longer. As a graduate student here at UCLA, I’m about to do my fieldwork for my dissertation aka traveling to South Africa, Tanzania, Germany, the UK, Brazil and back to the Bay for interviews, to organize events and help build Krip-Hop Institutes in LA, Tanzania and Johannesburg, South Africa. The purpose of Kip-Hop Institutes is to advance local and global advocacy in resistance to ableism and other isms reimagine and realize more just communities through political education, arts, music, and technology all from a Black-centered Disability Justice empowering reality.
So yes I’ll be on the move so I need a new, faster scooter. With the above, my question to my community is, would you support and give to this fundraiser like you did the first scooter almost seven years ago?
Picture of the sports scooter is my profile picture. I will add a video shortly. Round up cost of the scooter and items like an extra battery pack and seat cover is $5000.00
Thank you, family, friends, community, Atto Moving Life, and my nephew, Sasha Bernstein who will be filming the video that will go up soon with captions. Please donate and help spread the word.
