Sports Prosthetic Fundraiser

In 2018 Seán lost his right leg from below the knee due to a bone disease called chronic osteomyelitis. He had suffered from the disease for 6 years before doctors decided to amputate it. During this time Seán had put on a lot of weight. He was weighing in at over 125kg (over 20 stone). He decided that he needed to lose weight and joined SBG Cork. SBG put him through workout sessions and he started to lose weight. During this time Seán set targets and goals for himself and has reached most of them. The prosthetic that Seán wears is not suitable for his training and now it causes him to have a lot of issues and pain. He is constantly setting new challenges for himself but he needs a prosthetic that suits him to achieve this. SBG Cork has joined with Seán to complete a Triathlon to help raise funds to purchase the Sports Prosthetic Leg that will help him achieve more goals and to lead a more active and healthy lifestyle.
