Sports football powerchair
Donation protected
Hi.
I have a severely disabled 27 yr old son that is quadriplegic (which means he can’t use his arms or legs) which means he is confined to a wheelchair which he drives with a chin control. Since Covid ended his clubs that he used to go to has all stopped that helped him have a social aspect to life, but purely by chance he came across powerchair football & has fell in love with it. It puts him in a level playing field with everyone else & feels normal playing with his peers as no one is judgemental.
The club he is at now has brought him on so much that he needs a more advanced football powerchair - one that will allow him to improve his skills even more, increase his mobility & contribute even more to his team & also to give him something to get out the house to do. It also helps with his mental wellbeing as well as giving him a hobby to focus on life.
Due to his age there is no help out there as they all stop helping at age of 25 to get a sports powerchair. So basically adults aren’t allowed a hobby.
The chair he needs unfortunately costs £8000 with all the adaptions that is needed. So we are trying to raise as much as possible so he is able to get the chair & progress further in this sport.
Thank you in advance of any help however small & if unable to donate please share this for Ross to spread the word ☺️
You will make a young man very happy
