Project Overview
This initiative aims to support sports development in underprivileged schools across Sri Lanka by providing essential sporting equipment and resources. Many schools in these regions lack basic facilities and equipment, limiting students’ opportunities to participate in organised sport and physical activity.
Through this programme, we seek to bridge that gap and create equal opportunities for children to engage in sport, build confidence, and develop life skills.
Objectives
- Provide essential sporting equipment (e.g. cricket kits, badminton rackets, footballs, netball equipment, training cones).
- Encourage regular sports participation among schoolchildren in disadvantaged communities.
- Promote physical health, teamwork, discipline, and leadership through structured sports activities.
- Identify and nurture young talent that may otherwise go unnoticed due to lack of resources.
Target Beneficiaries
- Underprivileged government schools in Southeast Sri Lanka
- Primary and secondary school students with limited access to sports facilities
