Spoon's Fight for Life at Just 5 Years Old

We are unfortunately needing help with vet bills, my best friend spoon has a mass on her shoulder blade that is causing pain, we originally took her to our local vet and she was supposed to get it removed there, however the day of surgery the surgeon was concerned as they don’t have the proper equipment for this type of mass. At first we thought it was a cyst that could be easily removed but with the surgeon looking at it she realized it was a lot deeper then what they had originally thought, and sent us to med vet, spoon now will be having an intensive surgery to remove the mass, we meet with the surgeon today to talk over a game plan. She’s needing imaging done, and will have pain meds, a biopsy and a cone after her surgery and it all adds up, she already had a full panel blood work and that was 200$, surgery is going to be tough financially on us, she’s only 5 years old and still has tons of life left, she’s the goofiest cat you’ll ever meet, she’s filled with personality, and so much attitude.she has been through everything with me, I got her when I graduated high school. Had our first apartment together anyone that ever came over just absolutely loved her with her funny personality, We traveled together to Massachusetts where we lived on Martha’s Vineyard together for a summer, and traveled back to Ohio, she was there when I brought my daughter home from the hospital and has been by her side ever since, she loves to be the center of attention, she doesn’t hide she always is out with everyone else, she might be my “ mean cat” but she’s my girl, other people can’t pet her but she wants all the loves and cuddles from me, she sleeps by my head every single night, comes takes showers with me, basically will follow me all over the house, she’s my best friend, and I can’t watch her die or go paralyzed at such a young age.

UPDATE : we met with a surgeon and unfortunately it’s a cancer diagnosis, the tumor is pretty bad, she has less then 2 years to live without treatment, we are going to proceed with a CT and if it hasn’t spread then go ahead with amputation on her front left arm to hopefully give her a longer life sentence, and just pray to god more tumors don’t grow back, but it’s less then 50% that it won’t, this tumor is highly deadly but I will fight and fight and do anything to just give her a couple more years

7-6-25 update , tomorrow we are taking spoon for a second opinion at a different vet, they will remove some of the cells so we can see what type of cells they are

then tuesday she has her CT, praying all goes well and this can be a easy surgery with a long happy life afterwards❤️ we are still drowning financially but of course we want the best for our girl as she is way to young to die, we ask for many many prayers for healing and a long life for miss spoon ❤️
