My name is William and I am a transgender educator currently living below the federal poverty line in Wisconsin. I left education due to a work environment continuing to grow hostile to trans people and have been unable to find full time employment in all of 2025.

I received a job offer to teach full time in Vietnam, which I accepted and bought a plane ticket for for November 30. However, being under the poverty line with no health insurance and poor credit due to being unable to pay student loans off, I am now struggling to meet travel expenses to bring my cat with me. His health certificate alone will be $535 and I have had to borrow money just to pay rent.

Funds will go to Spool's travel expenses (specifically his health certificate and flight fee ($835 total).

UPDATE: Spool's rabies booster and stress medication were covered!

The travel date is November 30. Though Spool does not have a confirmed date for his health certificate yet, it has to be within 7 days. The vet said they would reach out with a specific date and time at the start of November.
