NEW UPDATE: We got results from Spooks MRI he has a tumor in his meninges of his brain. The Dr at K-State said as long as we can get his seizures under control we can give him at least 6 months of quality time. That being said we will not let Spook suffer he is to good of a boy for that. I spoke to dad about it this morning and he said when it's Spooks time we will cremate him and let his ashes go in the wind "so he can always be free"

 

 

OH MY GOODNESS! I can't even believe the out pouring of support we are receiving! Our hearts are so overwhelmed right now!

We are currently in Kansas with Spook.

 

NEW UPDATE: We misunderstood yesterday we can't get the mri done today but do have it scheduled in August our Vet is going to call Kansas State and see what they can do, if they can do something sooner. I'm so sorry I didn't mean to lie to everyone. Even if it was an accident and we are still doing it just not today.

 

UPDATE: Spook is still having frequent seizures and we are going to have an mri done tomorrow. We decided to much had to happen to bring Spook home that we need to try absolutely everything we can.

My name is Dawn VanArsdale. In November 2020 our family dog Spook went missing from my dad's farm just outside of Ashland. On June 27th the unimaginable happened. We found him! It was truly the miracle good news our family needed. My dad had a life threatening stroke in January this year and it's been a constant 1 step forward 2 steps back. With the latest of him being stuck in Bryan hospital due to his insurance not approving rehab and him having no luck getting into a skilled nursing facility.

 

Dad was so excited to see his little sidekick yesterday it brought him to tears. And if you know my dad he's a tough don't cry kinda guy.

 

Spook is in really really rough shape and he isn't out of the woods yet. He is having multiple seizures everyday and needs 24/7 hospitalization right now. While he can be at Superior Veterinary Care with me during the day he needs to go to VES overnight.

We want to do everything in our power to get my dad and his dog home together again.
