PUPPIES! You can wear jeans to work!
Now that we have your attention, we’re excited to share a unique & exciting charity opportunity you’re invited to participate in! We’re celebrating the return of Katie Hearn to the front office! Katie is currently in the long & detailed process of becoming the owner of a guide/service dog. At the beginning of this journey, Katie mentioned she wanted to name the dog after Walter Banks in honor of her very dear friend & Atlanta Braves legend. Because the dogs are named extremely early in the training process, Katie’s dog will already be assigned a name when she is paired with it. But we can still make Katie's wish of naming a dog ‘Banks’ come true!
Through Southeastern Guide Dogs , the Atlanta Braves will be sponsoring & naming a local service/guide dog on behalf of Katie and the entire organization! We will be collecting donations to name and sponsor the dog, all the details about Southeastern Guide Dogs can be found at www.guidedogs.org.
Those who donate a minimum of $10 will be awarded with the opportunity to wear jeans to work on Thursday, June 21st! Fun Fact - if each member of the Braves Front Office donated $20, we would reach our goal of $5,000 – the cost of sponsoring a guide dog!
