Sponsored walk: memory of Mel Woods
I have decided to do this sponsored walk on behalf of my mum,Melissa Woods (aged 32). The reasons for this is that on the 29th of May 2018, she passed away due to her suffering from a heart attack. This was a huge shock to all of the family and especially to her 3 children,Olivia, Alfie and myself. Prior to this, my mum had always been an extremely outgoing and bubbly person whom always put others before herself therefore this will be represented by the bright, neon colours which will be worn by the people involved in the walk.
In honour of my mum, I recently contacted Cardiac Risk in the Young foundation and they have been extremely supportive about the current situation so I would like to raise as much money for them as possible so they can carry on supporting other families who have experienced the same as my mum.
More specifically, CRY handles patients who are under the age of 40 and provide masses of support to families however not only this, CRY foundation mainly carries out research into cardiovascular evolution. Therefore this research can help to find a cure and help prevent many cardiac problems.
Any donations would be much appreciated by myself and the charity CRY as they can continue to fund research into cardiac problems and will also go towards necessary equipment.
