Sponsored Walk- Help Pegasus remain a Safe Haven!
Donation protected
Pegasus Safe Haven is a family run yard that takes in neglected and unwanted ponies who have no where else to turn.
We home up to 15 ponies at a time which can be costly in itself, and sometimes we need a helping hand to cover costs. We rely on donations from people such as yourselves to keep the ponies safe, happy and healthy.
We have a wonderful team of volunteers who keep the ponies fed, groomed, watered, poo picked and most importantly loved!
On 18th May 2025 we will be carrying out a sponsored walk around Gentleshaw Common to raise funds to lower our vets bills ready for upcoming routine treatment.
Our vets are fantastic and let us have a higher than usual outstanding bill, however they are a business too so can't let it build up. At the moment we have had a poor run of events where we have had to provide more than usual emergency care for ponies. We have also unfortunately had to have one of our oldest boys George PTS. This has cost excess of £4000 this year alone. Thanks to family, friends and kind hearted people we only have around £600 to clear however we need to get this down ASAP. Proof of payment to vets is always transparent on our Facebook Page.
If you could spare even £1 it would make a huge difference to the ponies lives and ensure that we can continue to supply the necessary veterinary care needed to keep them happy and healthy. It will also allow us to provide emergency life saving care to any new rescues who are desperate for a home.
You can find stories of the ponies we have helped on our Facebook Page Pegasus Safe Haven and also find us on TikTok.
If you're local to Cannock where we are based, we have regular open volunteer days where you can come along to enjoy seeing the ponies and give a helping hand if you can.
Thank you again from the PSH family
**PLEASE NOTE - we are not a registered charity or rescue, we do this from our own pockets and time. We are aiming to eventually register however this is a long process***
